In the spirit of Christmas

I offer you The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. This quick read is an enjoyable Christmas misadventure (or as the subtitle puts it: A heartwarming tale of Christmas terror) with an angel who’s really good at creating weather, a Micronesian fruit bat with a Spanish accent, and an ex-tv star who has gone off her meds in order to save money for an elaborate glass bong for her sheriff-husband, oh, and a zombie Santa Claus.

There are several moments in this short tale where I laughed aloud.

Zombies are de rigeur (e.g. The Walking Dead, Zombieland) so be fashionable this holiday season and read a Christmas tale about zombies. Oh, and there’s a movie in the works, but no word yet when it’s due out.

You will need to request this book through InterLibrary Loans.
